Speed up tenders for GAME city, Minister tells APIIC

Information Technology Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah has directed the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) officials to work closely with the AP Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation for inviting tenders for the incubation space for gaming and animation companies at Raidurg by August 20.

The IT Minister, who reviewed the status of IT projects across the State and pending issues with the IT&C Department, APIIC and STPI here on Thursday, asked the APIIC to expedite the construction of Incubation Towers at Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Kakinada and Warangal and complete them by December this year.
In the meantime, the IT&C Department should chalk out an appropriate marketing plan to convince the ICT companies to take space in the above incubation centres.

Mr. Laxmaiah also directed the APIIC to float the tender for construction of signature incubation tower at the GAME City (Tower) by September with the coordination of IT&C, APIIC, GHMC, HMDA, Fire, Aviation and Environment getting requisite approvals.

For the Game City (Layout Plan), the APIIC should call for tender for preparation of layout plan of the entire 30 acres at Raidurg and get necessary approvals from agencies concerned.

The 250 acres of land that was resumed recently at Mamidipalli in Ranga Reddy district would be made available to the IT companies which have already applied, he said and asked the APIIC to prepare an IT layout at the earliest.

It should determine reasonable cost for the land and inform the government to attract large IT MNC.

The Minister cleared the proposal of APIIC for forming an SPV for eCity Electronic Manufacturing Cluster and Maheshwaram EMC. He asked the APIIC to complete the road widening work from Adibatla village to ORR as TCS would be commencing its operations at Adibatla by February, 2014.

Layout plan of the entire 30 acres at Raidurg has to be planned and necessary approvals taken.
